to be truth’s bearer

in listening-hearts soften

we change

a rock I stand
alone
isolated

as roots we bind
separate

mutually mediated

We resist
deny
object
Yet in letting go
hearts open
hands unfurl
compassion guides
We witness others needs
& in releasing
one another lift

Beyond the Now & insistent gratification
to When they inherit from us
how might wisdom nurtured
foster humility’s foresight
of legacy passed
