#MicroPoetry|April ’13 Verses

Every month I tweet #MicroPoetry! In 140 characters, they are part prayer, thought, reflection, challenge or something in-between. I look forward to sharing them with you and hope that they may lead to reflection, musing and perhaps even discussion!

Be not discouraged when swords rattle & bellicose verbosity attempts to drown out rationale discourse intended to navigate our differences

In the city’s hum, at an intersection’s pause, in the idling moment, all which can be imagined is probable and in this Now, choose …

Swords rattle, weapons deploy & feed fear. Isolated, we long to belong. May wonder replace complacency & tenderness transform clenched fists

The human genome’s journey unfolds in intimate companionship. From there to here, we are but one weave in the totality of life’s tapestry

May all who walk the dark night know solace & care without judgement. May all who currently are a lit, share with compassion & humility

From the bee’s buzz to phyla that abounds Nature’s bounty, Spring arrives illustrating the connexions that comprise the system we call Life

Can you trace your intention into action? Can you track your hopes into fruition? Is that to which you aspire made manifest in the Now?

May the swirling singing Spirit dive deep down within our doubting depths to inspire us to deeply detach from etched egos & embrace eternity

Wonder the impossible Dream what may be Imagine the unimaginable Be not deterred by a contrary shout, be emboldened by an affirming whisper

Between words hanging in air, truth hovers with potential. Listen not to tenor or tone, but respond to the intent of longed for welcome

All we can control is our own (re)actions. In the face of frustration, May we be patience; fear, be trust; hate, be love; violence, be peace

‘Be the change’ isn’t a slogan. It’s an invitation to step from apathy’s lulling lethargy & engage creatively as an active agent in the Now

On days when longed for Spring seems distant, allusive & afar, May sun cascading through window offer pause & reminder of summer’s promise

May we endeavour to balance human justice with the Divine’s righteousness. May we embrace compassion in harmony with our need for safety

May we endeavour to balance human justice with the Divine’s righteousness. May we embrace compassion in harmony with our need for safety

Teachers arrive during ease or tightened tether. Learning can be freely offered or effort of choice may be required. Which is today?
