#MicroPoetry|April ’19 Memes

When Image & Word Meet ...

Too often it seems that words and images are placed against one another. The gift of a meme, when hopefully done well, is that the word and the visual serve to complement and enhance one another in a way that either one or the other – on their own – is unable to fully convey meaning. I hope, therefore, that these mash-ups of #MicroPoetry and their original accompanying image amplify meaning that one or the other could not fully convey!

I think these memes and sayings make a lot of sense. You always do such great work on these Richard. I am feeling like things were easy to see and understand in each one. Thank you my friend for sharing again with us.

Thanks James – 140 characters is not always easy, but I find the discipline helps me not only in the poetic, but in prose and public presentations. Finding metaphors and images to transmit ideas that sometimes are too dense … well initially may seem that away 🙂

Yes, you are right some times things seem to dense. However when in the abstract art with words mingled in the visual image is what makes things easy to see. In my mind things are what you want us to see Richard. Maybe I am wrong the way I explain it.
