#MicroPoetry|May ’15 Verses

Every month I tweet #MicroPoetry! In 140 characters, they are part prayer, thought, reflection, challenge or something in-between. I look forward to sharing them with you and hope that they may lead to reflection, musing and perhaps even discussion!

Good Morning #Winnipeg
In practised patterns
inevitable change arrives
When this becomes that
choices may transform

Votes cast ballots’ box
Beyond flash & ticker tape
hunger & oppression continue
Regardless of agenda
May we be Care

We were made to gaze
fashioned to marvel
moulded to wonder
knitted to joy
Into the Now
we are infinity’s awakening

Good Morning #Winnipeg
Maternal nurture dreams
& aspires that time not limit
the next generation’s infinite gaze

Injustice named is not justice done
Awakening to suffering & oppression
change begins as choice transforms to action

It is where story & truth meet
rest & rejoice entwine
wisdom meets mirth
lion & lamb embrace
It is home …
It is …

Under grey lined sky
as rain’s fall embraces
life unfolds in tenacious fragility
longing for nurture of what might be

Good Morning #Winnipeg
On this day
on which rainbows fly
diversity & dignity dance
May we be emboldened along the way

Justice undone
indignation swells
Oppression endured
protest stirs
In solidarity’s dance
action & choice integrate

Within our Verse
Poet watches stories unfold
As we laugh & weep in meter & stanzas
She pens a tale that is & might be

On life’s adventure
joy & grief
pain & laughter
dance intimately
as leaf let go on high
seeks destiny not yet known

Good Morning #Winnipeg
As sun cascades
there remain places obscure
where Hope wants
May we bear Light to such places

In beginning & unfolding solidarity’s walk
our potential mutual liberation
from shared oppression that binds
