We are each
wild & precious beacons
forged by a Universe
constantly & perpetually unfolding
possibility creating
in which we are invited to shine

Inspired by audaciously choosing to create with abandon …

Look not to the sun’s course passed
though it will dissipate into a new day
In this moment
spy its remaining course
& what wonder it illumines

Inspired by embracing the light that remains in day’s waning …

The starting block of each new day
previous obstacles & opportunities
transformed into learning applied
to the course ahead toward what will be

Inspired by the courage to start anew …

As the creatures
feathered or furred
scaled or finned
a chorus sing
Creation’s glory
May we thankfully
praise our neighbour
as our own reflection

Inspired by gratitude offered & freely given …

Imagine cause & effect
as dominoes standing
awaiting a choice
to set our course forward
Imagine if each piece an act kind
where might we arrive?

Inspired by generous acts anonymously performed …

Life’s flavour enhanced
by the textures of our choices
the savour of the care we offer
the spice of deep listening
& the zest of wisdom attained

Inspired by the unpredictable nature of living …

A thing is a thing
a challenge a challenge
context a context
Whether we face it
discuss it
reflect upon it
nothing will change
if we do not face it

Inspired by confronting that which we might wish to avoid …

What we most value
the ideas we tenderly cherish
& people whom we love
require an exchange of ourselves
so that they may thrive
& we so flourish

Inspired by our choices’ cost for a community to be well …
