#MicroPoetry|July ’13 Verses

Every month I tweet #MicroPoetry! In 140 characters, they are part prayer, thought, reflection, challenge or something in-between. I look forward to sharing them with you and hope that they may lead to reflection, musing and perhaps even discussion!

How do we hear that which is new?
As information streams & saturated from wiki to Google:
How shall we navigate between knowledge & wisdom?

A rationale of ‘Cause & Effect’ can distract.
Change is inevitable: it is the cause that leads to awakening choice.
What follows is effect

Free-dom:
A state of mind?
Grounded in laws & statutes?
Internal or external?
May we shine without refraction into places of human dimness

Mindful in the Now, wonder abounds.
Distracted from the moment, Grace waits with potential.
May all who r awake nurture others from slumber

In a world where planes fall and winds rip,
where those with power deny dignity & people perish:
May we be Light that emboldens & cares

On transformation’s cusp, we pause.
That which we know offers wisdom & guides as we walk into unknown potential.
May we step forth together

Why, O Creator, do planes fall?
As we lament, why does rain deluge & disrupt lives?
May we, in our questions, respond with care & compassion

Sun sets on day gone by.
Light fades toward twilight’s embrace.
In the moment between day’s end and the dawn of one anew, may wonder abide

In a human world of greyness,
May we respond to the beckoning Light.
In this human world where systems stumble,
May we trust the Stranger

Dreams inspire, embolden & thread the narrative of what is & what might b
May all who dance movements not yet taken lead us into the unknown

Children in our Yesteryear, Today & Morrow
To Be reflect compassion in our Now.
May we nurture them to shine & care for those who suffer

Information inundates & wisdom eludes|
Text abounds & choices overwhelm|
Deep within whispering voice guides|
With breath drawn trust & follow

We are meant to shine.
We hear messages that diminish that universal intention.
May all who sparkle endeavour to illumine those shadowed

The Dream isn’t in you-you r the Dream.
We may b lulled & tempted 2 believe the former
but awakening 2 the latter the world begins to change

As we endeavour to honour an apology,
May we hear we have benefited by choices made by those who have preceded us
@ the expense of others

Into eyes, I dare not spy for certain I shall cry.
Lest I weep at what’s been done,
I will hide away from what we’ve done
#HonourTheApology

Grief strikes deep when unexpected trauma slices deep into lives wrapped in blessing.
May all for whom tears fall know compassion’s embrace

Questions surface in times of change & hurt/
When heart aches unknown overwhelms/
May we endeavour 2 b quick 2 compassion & patient 2
