#MicroPoetry|March’13 Verses

Every month I tweet #MicroPoetry! In 140 characters, they are part prayer, thought, reflection, challenge or something in-between. I look forward to sharing them with you and hope that they may lead to reflection, musing and perhaps even discussion!

You & I are divided by this & that. We live isolated, living stories never shared. May all who long for inclusion awaken to belonging

Gathered people weave stories into community. Community fosters potential for inclusion. Inclusion nurtures belonging. May it be so!

How we care for our soul is mirrored in how we nurture earth’s fruits. May we recognise that Creation’s bounty sustains the Temple we are

Bounded blocks of tightly timed schedules detract from the Flow of passion in which all tick’d seconds melt away into awakened creativity

What we hold to is threaded into the weave of our being. The tone we absorb tunes our harmony. It is choice that leads to whether we shine

Single story narratives allow stereotypes to become truth. You & I are more than 1 plot & when we turn that page we all step into liberation

Spoken words migrate from vibration to reality. May we use language with intention & be aware that the way we communicate can heal or harm

Between the pages we’re any story we wish to be. Outside the binding, the world might change our tale. Which character will you choose?

Traditional media paints Christianity in a tapestry of judgement. The UCC Call to inclusivity is @ our core: question & check us out!

Does what you believe, preach, espouse & to which you subscribe dress freedom as a right to hate? May Light be cast to extinguish Darkness

Christian Discipleship does not deny adversity or reject doubt: rather it is an invitation to respond differently with wonder & humility

Is integrity’s mark how we respond to adversity? Is discipleship’s mark how we respond to other’s struggles? If so, how shall we respond?

We’re born into a mystery box logged into time & space, here & now. What’s in u that possesses the riddle to the question we long to answer?

The weight of costumes worn & blinders endured suppress the Essence you are. Emerge from this lulled dullness & shine as the beacon you are

Theology becomes unmoored when Lament becomes Deficit & Abundance, Profit. May we embrace the bounty in our midst & share with abandon

Flight & shadow: There are moments when we soar, & others when the horizon is lost. May we bring wisdom from aloft to places in the deep

Waving palms extend cheering voices. Entrances grand, yet humbly intended. As the Teacher arrives, how do we respond as we long to belong?

As our GLBTQ* friends, Sisters & Brothers await our US neighbours decisions about marriage equality, May Spirit’s wisdom be heard!

Thaw arrives, sun shines & that which has been hidden is once more revealed. What treasures have been obscured which are now illumined?

Maundy Thursday: A pause, a meal, bread broken, & what will be spoken as cryptic invitation. Before the darkness arrives, be in this now

Shrouds obscure Light and all seems lost in the shock that accompanies grief. Hold fast Sisters & Brothers, for the Light promised beckons

In the pause amid dark & light, slumber & awakening, death & life, potential pervades. In transition’s moment, choice is change’s constant
